THE MEDALLION HAS BEEN FOUND!!!
The Location was:  Under a tree on east side of the Pottery Pond.
Congratulations to Benjamin Smith, Lydia Smith, Hannah Cupp and Ava Cupp.  Way to Go!!!

Here are the clues to the clues.  Thank you everyone who participated in the hunt this year.

2014 RIVER CITY DAYS MEDALLION HUNT CLUES

Thursday, July 24th

Today the clues are different but give general direction,

A state known for hockey and old tradition in name.

Homes for sale with red signs near Bills intersection,

Take a good memory of a previous unsolved game.

Direction ties with old hockey tradition – North Stars – “Bills intersection = Williams St.  2 Edina Realty listings nearby.

Friday, July 25th

Nigh on 16 years there has been quite a quest,

Most always found where all searcher sizes fit.

The medallion is placed where many will nest,

Redwing.edinarealty and a Facebook page to wit.

People of all ages/sizes recreate in this area – two years ago Medallion was just across the same pond but not found.

Saturday, July 26th

Weekend pleasures in the area really abound,

While weekday activities slow just a tad.

Timing is very important to those that leave ground,

When it’s good it good, when bad it’s bad.

Fishing is good or bad, often.  Skateboard  park is nearby.

Sunday, July 27th

Maybe a button while help point the way,

But, be careful and deftly choose your step.

Be restful and ponder on this day,

Old time hunters often will retrace and be adept.

Photo shooters prospective from button for the River area.  Fishing leads to pondering and previous 2012 clues would help.

Monday, July 28

Traditional times said get ready to wash,

And often there were places left unclean.

Hanging things out is one use of line,

You could be close to many but unseen.

Line – fishing.  Protected area with leisure places to rest.

Tuesday, July 29

Time to circle the wagons is getting near,

Lots of preparations are picking up speed.

Don’t go to fast when safety needs are clear,

Nose to the ground and caution take heed.

Pathway around a round pond.  Close to River City activities and preparations.  Be careful as near to water, roads.

Wednesday, July 30

If not found yesterday today might work,

Hump day for some but many will linger.

Like first direction a path leads most of the way,

Not a turnaround in sight to eastern finger.

Thursday, July 31

Dog days but keep a tight leash and hang ten,

Clues from long lost still point a similar spot.

Alliteration of parks helps those still look’n,

Ground rules for in air or water it’s not.

Friday, August 1

The hunt is heating up and nearing the end,

People have been up but with no wake,

Now, Aqua activity is just around the bend,

A $500 prize is ready to take.

Saturday, August 2nd

Let’s wrap up this year’s hunt,

A proud sponsor and area #1 for years,

Reread the clues and 2012 is redundant,

Success comes to those without fear.

Sunday, August 3rd

Sundown brings the hunt to an end, indeed,

The object is inscribed with contact in mind,

If not found money to help others in need,

There’s always next year to try and refind.
