The MEDALLION HAS BEEN FOUND:  Congratulations Nick Northey
Location this year was:  Mississippi National Golf Course near a flower bed by the north parking lot near the golf cart shed.

Here are the clues deciphered:

2013 River City Days Medallion Hunt Clues

Thursday, July 25th

15  is the number of  orbital circles  to date,

It’s an important integer that is for sure.

Spy the clues a couple clicks past eight,

Redwingedinarealty.com has them to endure.

15 is referred to later – light poles in parking lot.

Friday, July 26th

You don’t have to take tracks to get there,

There are other ways to cross the terrain.

With more or less foot traffic but best be aware,

Many games are played though not called in rain

One of the roads to Mississippi National goes pass the railroad tracks.  Closed golf course = less traffic and golf is played in rain.

Saturday, July 27th

Numbers might add up to hundred or more,

But the key might be only the location.

Who says it is a waste to count poles not lit?

5 plus 10 really adds to the pucks reputation.

Nearby,  U.S.#61 road sign has more than a hundred miles for three destinations.

Sunday, July 28th

Personal thoughts may linger while some may trail,

Fences may keep things in and keep things out.

A quest is solved by not leaning on the rail,

For ferreting in natural cover pleases the snout!

Medallion hidden in ground cover near decorative fence.

Monday, July 29th

Achtung is a German command well to translate,

But you’re not as close as you think you are.

Others across the sea are also known to create,

Americans, yes my partner, have been up to par.

“Attention” on Minnesota State ground property on approach road.  “Par” refers to golf course.

Tuesday, July 30th

The Agents at Edina Realty don’t have a clue,

Nor those at Red Wing’s great radio station.

Number One in market share is their due,

Look close to an end cycle boxy creation.

Black dumpster near golf cart storage building.

Wednesday, July 31st

Those with sticks and bend at the waist,

Will be more successful than a casual shuffle.

Its brains over brawn in this innocent tryst,

Pick your spot and avoid a floral scuffle.

“Sticks” can be golf clubs or simply indicate that there is heavy ground cover.  Avoid the flower bed.

Thursday, August 1st

A skilled searcher will lay out a planned process,

Placing clues to public parks, playgrounds and such.

The honed skills greatly increase the hunter’s success,

Keeping score where a lot is not much.

Golf course area.

Friday, August 2nd

Pleasantly contrary to teachings of the old,

Often it’s wise to not stay the course.

A concrete ribbon points the way toward cold,

But getting hotter matters most of course.

It’s not on the course and the concrete water drainage “ribbon” runs through the upper parking lot at points runs north toward the medallion site.

Saturday, August 3rd

Runners and walkers gather in other parts of town,

Morning dew will soak through canvas sneakers.

Plants that cover will soon enough turn brown,

Hurry, hurry before the semi-silent grounds keeper.

Reference to River City Days run that a.m.  Ground cover will soon lose color.  Mowing is done on course only for maintenance at this time.

Sunday, August 4th

Flowers grow but are left untended,

A starting lower land green is quite near.

Place where many tired rested has ended,

Multi-colors have protected this slice of sphere.

“Lower land green” is the first green on the lowlands part of the course.

…tired rested refers to golf cart shed nearby.
